How to make

Beat 4/5 cup (200 g) soft butter with the powdered sugar and add the 6 egg yolks one at a time. Leave the egg whites aside. While stirring, add the ground walnuts, 3 tablespoons flour and 2 tablespoons cocoa. Finally, pour in the vanilla and 4 egg whites, beaten to snow.

Pour the mixture into a greased oven dish and put it to bake in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven for about 25-30 minutes. Take the cake out and leave it to cool. Cut it into pieces with a sharp knife and gently prick it with a fork.

Once cooled down, pour on the glaze, which is made as follows: On a pan on the stove melt 1 tablespoon oil, the crushed chocolate, 6 tablespoons sugar and 4 tablespoons cocoa.

The original recipe calls for smearing the cake with egg whites beaten to snow with a little sugar.
