Ingredients

  • flour - 1 cup white or whole meal
  • flour - ½ cup organic yellow corn
  • flour - ½ cup fine white corn
  • baking powder - 2 ½ tsp
  • water - 1 cup and 1 tablespoon hot
  • oil - ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • sugar - 3 tbsp pure cane
  • salt - 1 tsp fine

How to make

Preheat oven to 350°F (175 °C) and grease a baking tray. Mix the different types of flour and baking powder into a bowl. In separate bowl, mix water, oil, sugar, salt and other optional products. Add the liquid ingredients to the dry and stir with a fork until it becomes homogeneous.

Careful not to stir too much, because the bread will become dry and tough. Pour the dough into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30 minutes or until a sample with a toothpick, knife or anything else comes out clean and easy. Be careful not to burn.

While still hot, pierce the bread with something on top of it and put some margarine to melt on it. Serve immediately, or wait for it to be at room temperature. This bread can be toasted in a toaster.
