How to make
Soak the beans overnight in cold water. The next morning, put them to boil with a little salt and a few oil droplets.
Shortly before they're ready add the finely chopped and cleaned dried peppers, carrots and celery. Finally, salt and sprinkle with black pepper and cloves. Heat the oil and fry the chopped onions in it until fully soft.
Mix in the tomato paste, diluted in a little cold water. Once boiling, remove from the heat and stir it into beans. Sprinkle with parsley, spearmint, savory and lovage.
Serve at the Christmas Eve dinner table.
