"Gourmet specialties are nice and all but we prefer tasty country-style dishes whose taste we grew up with. What about you?"

Ingredients

  • leeks - 1
  • carrots - 2
  • onions - 1
  • mince - 9 oz (250 g)
  • rice - 2 - 3 tbsp
  • eggs - 1, fresh
  • savory
  • black pepper
  • paprika - 1 tsp, smoked
  • salt
  • parsley - fresh
  • flour - 1 - 2 tbsp
  • oil - 3 - 4 tbsp
measures

How to make

Clean and wash the leeks well. Chop them finely. Peel the carrots and grate them coarsely. Peel the onions and chop them.

Mix the mince with the egg, rice, savory, black pepper and 1-2 tbsp chopped onions. Knead well.

Saute the leeks, carrots and onions in oil and a little water. Once they're left in just oil, add the smoked paprika, salt and 1-2 tbsp flour. Stir and pour in 4 1/5 cups (1 L) water.

Put it on the stove and once it comes to a boil, leave it for another 5 min. and add the meatballs formed from the mince (if the mince is too soft and you can't form meatballs, scoop from the mince with a spoon and drop them in the boiling dish).

Cook the dish until the meatballs are boiled and the sauce thickens.

Before removing the dish from the stove, sprinkle with finely chopped parsley.
