"Miracle of miracles - fritters that turn over by themselves when fried on one side. You`re left with the difficult task of eating them."

Ingredients

  • flour - 2 cups (475 g)
  • yoghurt - 1 cup (250 g)
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 1
  • vanilla sugar - 1 packet
  • salt - 1 pinch
measures

How to make

Beat the eggs with a whisk. Add the yoghurt which you've beaten with the baking soda, then the flour sifted with the baking powder and the vanilla sugar. Stir the mixture well until you get a thick cake batter.

Use 2 spoons dipped in water to scoop from the batter and drop it in a ball in heated oil.

You need to have at least 2 fingers of oil in the container for frying so that the fritters can turn over by themselves.

The stove needs to be at moderate temperature so the fritters don't burn and don't end up raw on the inside.

Fry until reddened.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm.
