  • eggs - 10
  • powdered sugar - 1 cup (250 g)
  • flour - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • walnuts - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • breadcrumbs - 3 tablespoons

  • cocoa - 2 tbsp
  • For the cream
  • butter - 1 1/5 cups (300 g)
  • powdered sugar - 2 cups (500 g)
  • chocolate - 3.5 oz (100 g)

How to make

Whip the egg yolks with 2/3 of the sugar. Beat the remaining sugar with the egg whites into fluffy snow and combine with the yolks. Divide the mixture in 2 parts. Mix the flour into one. Bake the resulting spongy dough in a cake form.

Combine the 2nd part of the mixture with the ground walnuts, cocoa and breadcrumbs. Bake in a cake form once again. Divide each of the 2 layers into 2 more - for a total of 4 layers. If possible, divide each layer into 3.

For the cream, beat the butter into foam and add the vanilla and sugar while beating again. Divide the cream into 2, mix 1 part with the melted chocolate. Leave the other cream white. Set aside a part of one of the creams for decorating the cake on top.

Smear the light layers with dark cream and the chocolate layers with white cream. Place them on top of each other, even them out and smear the entire cake with one of the other creams.

On top, you can decorate as you like - with nuts, fruits from a jam and so on.
