How to make
The strawberries are cleaned, cut into pieces and blended.
If you want, you can puree them, but in this case I prefer to feel them and have small pieces.
They can also be used frozen.
They are transferred to a metal container and sugar and freshly squeezed lemon juice are added to them, after which they are put on the stove.
The strawberry topping cook on low heat, by stirring occasionally, until the desired consistency is obtained. For a finer structure of the topping, it can be strained after it has cooled.
The resulting strawberry sauce is perfect for a topping for cheesecake, ice cream or strawberry cake.
