  • kadaif - 7 oz (200 g)

  • butter - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • vanilla powder - 4 pcs (0.2 g each) or essence
  • lemon juice - 1 tsp.
  • For the cream
  • yolks - 3 pcs.
  • corn starch - 1.4 oz (40 g)
  • confectionery cream - 7 oz (200 g)
  • milk - 2/3 cup (150 ml)
  • sugar - 2.65 oz (75 g)
  • vanilla powder - 2 pcs (0.2 g each) or essence

How to make

The syrup is boiled, just before you take it off the heat, add the spoonful of lemon juice and the butter. Pour the kadaif with the prepared syrup.

Leave it aside, so that it can absorb it and cool.

Then prepare the cream. Beat the yolks with a little of the milk and the starch into a not very thick paste. Put the cream, remaining milk and sugar on the stove.

After it boils, add the egg mixture in a thin stream and stir vigorously, until the cream is ready.

Vanilla is added to the finished cream.

The cooled homemade kadaif is poured with the cream and decorated as desired with walnuts or pistachios.
