  • canned tuna - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • onion - 1 - 2 sweet salad onions
  • green olives - about 10 pcs.
  • lemon juice - 2 - 3 tbsp.
  • salt
  • olive oil - to moisten the pasta
  • Mayonnaise
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
  • oil - 1 cup (250 ml) or olive oil
  • salt - 1 pinch
measures

How to make

Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package. Transfer it into a large colander and run cold water over it to stop the cooking process.

Leave it to drain, drizzle it with olive oil and stir to prevent it from sticking as it cools.

Make homemade mayonnaise by beating the egg in a deep and narrow bowl. Add a pinch of salt, the lemon juice and half the oil and position the liquidizer at the bottom of the bowl.

Turn it on and hold it still, until the bottom turns white, then with one hand pour the remaining oil in a thin stream and with the other hand holding the liquidizer, lift it up slowly, until the entire mixture becomes white and thick.

Pour the cooled pasta into a bowl, add as much salt as you like, crumbled tuna, mayonnaise, chopped onion and lemon juice for extra freshness and flavor.

If desired, you can also cut pitted green olives and add them.

Mix everything by stirring well and serve immediately with a garnish of more olives.

Enjoy your meal!

*The combination of onions and tuna with mayonnaise is a classic and goes well together. If you haven't tried it yet, do it, it's great!
