Ingredients

  • flour - 9 oz (250 g)
  • sugar - 4.6 oz (130 g)
  • apples - 2 pcs.
  • cream cheese - 7 oz (200 g) Philadelphia
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • milk - 2/3 cup (150 ml)
  • butter - 1.1 oz (30 g)
  • baking powder - 1 tbsp (10 g)
  • lemons - 1 pc.
  • vanilla powder - 1 pc.
  • powdered sugar (for sprinkling)

How to make

Clean the apples and grate them. Pour the squeezed lemon juice over them.

Sprinkle with the grated lemon peel and stir to flavor them. In a bowl, beat the egg, sugar and cheese for a few minutes.

In a thin stream, pour the slightly warmed milk and the melted butter. Sift the flour, vanilla and baking powder and add the egg mixture to it in portions.

Add the grated apples and carefully mix all of the products. Pour the batter into a greased and floured sponge cake mold.

Preheat the oven with a fan to 360°F (180°C). Bake the sponge cake for about 30 minutes. Check to see if it is fully baked with a wooden skewer, it should come out dry from the sponge cake.

Wait for the sponge cake to cool for 10 minutes and remove it from the mold. Immediately sprinkle it with powdered sugar!
