Ingredients

  • beans - 1 1/5 cups (300 g)
  • onions - 1 head
  • leeks - 1 sprig
  • carrots - 1
  • olive oil - 4 tablespoons or oil
  • bacon - 5.5 oz (150 g)
  • peppers - 1, red
  • tomato paste - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • vegetable broth - 1 2/5 cups (350 ml), or water
  • salt
  • black pepper - to taste
  • spearmint - 1/2 tsp
  • savory - 1 tablespoon
  • paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • honey - 1 tablespoon
  • vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • mustard - 1 tsp, coarse

How to make

Soak the beans overnight, then put to boil in water 2 separate times and leave them the second time to boil until tender. In a separate pot, heat the oil and fry the finely cut bacon briefly, and then the leeks, onion and grated carrot.

Add the finely diced pepper and then the paprika with tomato paste. Stir and dilute with hot broth or water. Simmer until full readiness of all the products. Finally, add salt, black pepper, spearmint and savory to taste.
