How to make
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the salt - until a thick cream is obtained, with a mixer.
Then add the sifted flour. A homogeneous thick slurry should be obtained.
The mixture is poured into a pan, that is 8″ (20 cm), greased with half of the butter and lightly sprinkled with flour. Place lumps of butter on top.
Bake the eggs at 360°F (180 degrees) for about 30 minutes until they're fully baked.
When they're ready, sprinkle them with grated cheese and cover them with a towel until the cheese melts.
Instead of yellow cheese, the Turkish Kaigana eggs can be smeared with marmalade, honey or powdered sugar.
