Ingredients

  • water - 8 1/3 cups (2 liters)
  • salt - 1 tbsp.
  • corn flour - 17 oz (500 g)
  • white flour - 3 tbsp.
  • bacon - 7 oz (200 g)
  • white cheese - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • butter - 2.3 oz (65 g)

How to make

Pour the water and salt into a deep pot. Once the water boils, add the corn flour and white flour. Mix it with a rolling pin.

Remove it from the heat and continue to stir until the flour absorbs the water.

Transfer into a baking pan, melt a little butter and pour the kachamak in it. If you want, you can add paprika in the oil. Sprinkle it with grated white cheese and cracklings.

I make the cracklings by cutting the bacon into small pieces and frying it until the pieces of bacon shrink slightly and are fried.
