  • rice - 7 oz (200 g)
  • butter - 4.2 oz (120 g)
  • curry
  • nutmeg
  • turmeric
  • black pepper
  • salt
  • peppers - 5 - 6 pcs. (red, green, yellow)
  • oil - 1 cup.
  • warm water - 4 cups.

How to make

Clean and wash the rice under running water until the starch is removed.

Heat the butter and add the rice. Fry until the rice is clear. Add one cup of warm water and stir. Cook over low heat.

Stir constantly until the water is absorbed by the rice. Season with spices as desired but the curry needs to overpower the rest of them.

Keep stirring until the rice has completely absorbed all the water. If your rice seems crunchy, add a little more warm water. Remove the cooked rice from the heat.

Clean the peppers from their seeds and stalks. Cut them into strips and fry them in hot oil until they soften.

Garnish the rice with the fried peppers before serving.
