Ingredients

  • for the meatballs
  • mince - 21 oz (600 grams) of beef
  • onions - 1 head
  • rice - about 1 tsp
  • salt - to taste
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • savory - 1/2 tsp
  • for the sauce
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 tablespoon
  • tomatoes - 1 cup tomato paste
  • oil - 3 tbsp
  • onions - 2 heads

How to make

Mix the minced meat with salt to taste, black pepper and a little paprika, cumin, savory, rice and the extremely finely chopped onion. Form small balls and roll them in a little flour.

For the sauce, put the other head of chopped onion in to saute in hot oil. Add the paprika, mix quickly and top with hot water or broth. Once boiling, drop the prepared meatballs in and leave until the rice cooks.

Then dilute the sauce with the tomato paste and add a little more seasoning to taste. Finally, if you like, thicken the sauce with the diluted flour.
