How to make

Activate the yeast in 2/5 cup (100 ml) warm milk with the sugar and a little flour. Sift the flour and salt.

Beat the eggs and add the remaining milk. Knead a medium-hard dough from all the ingredients, leave it in a warm area for about 30 min.

Once it rises, tear off a 1 1/5 cup (300 g) ball of dough and begin to roll out a round sheet with a small diameter.

Put it in the middle of the oven dish that you've laid out with baking paper. Tear off another ball of dough but cut it into strips this time.

Arrange them on the round sheet. Roll out another sheet again and cut it into strips again. Begin to weave them with the other ones that you've already placed.

After you've formed the center by twisting/weaving, roll out a large sheet from the remaining dough, smear it with oil and wrap it into a roll.

Wrap the roll around the center of the pita and make cuts with scissors 1/2″ (1 cm) apart. Tilt one piece slightly to the right and the other one toward the inside of the pita. Do this for all of them.

Put the formed pita in a warm area to rise, then smear it with the egg yolk and milk and bake at 320°F (160 °C) for about 35-40 min.
