How to make

The hazelnuts are lightly toasted in a non greased pan and are grinded. Ones that are already grinded can be used.

Grate the peel of the orange on a fine grater, only the orange part. Squeeze the citrus juice into a separate bowl. We will need 2 2/3 tbsp (40 ml) of it.

Melt the butter over low heat or in a water bath. Add the sugar, flour, egg yolk, citrus peel and juice and the grinded hazelnuts to it and set aside 1 tablespoon of them, which two small greased classic soufflé molds are sprinkled. If you don't have the small molds, use a larger one for the whole amount, which is also a great option for a dessert for two.

The mixture is distributed in the molds and two pieces of chocolate are pricked in the middle. The cake itself is not very sweet, but the chocolate makes up for it and everything balances out perfectly.

If desired, sprinkle more grinded hazelnuts, moistened with a little butter.

The romantic dessert is baked in a preheated oven at 390°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, depending on whether you used two small or one larger molds.

Arrange orange slices and fresh mint leaves on the serving plate. The baked cake is left to cool for 2-3 minutes and while it is still warm, it is turned over onto the plate and served.

A great idea for Valentine's Day Dessert as well as any occasion as it is quick and easy to prepare.

Enjoy and have a very romantic time!
