How to make
For the cake layer, beat the eggs with the sugar, honey, salt and orange peel into a bowl.
Add the baking soda in a little vinegar and the sifted flour and starch mixed in advance.
Stir the mixture and pour it into a cake tin lined with baking paper. Place the cake tin in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) and bake it for about 40 minutes.
Leave the baked cake layer to cool and cut it in half horizontally.
For the cream, in a metal bowl, mix the starch, sugar, cocoa, vanilla sugar, stir and pour the cold milk.
Put the cookware on a moderate heat and boil, until the mixture has thickened, while stirring constantly.
Remove it from the heat and add the butter and honey and stir, until they have melted and been absorbed by the cream.
Assemble the chocolate cake while the cream is hot, by spreading half of the cream on one cake layer. Place the second cake layer on top and spread the rest of the cream.
Decorate it and leave it for at least 6 hours before serving it.
The homemade honey-chocolate cake is ready.
