Almost all types of tuna are very large and quite strong fish. There are tuna fish that can reach the size of a dolphin. They are quite difficult to catch, because they swim at a very high speed and very often move from one place to another.
These names refer to a species of ocean tuna that is a member of the mackerel family. There are several types of tuna:
- Bluefin Tuna - This fish is one of the largest tuna fish. In length, they can reach from 1 to 2 and a half meters and as for kilograms - they can reach from 100 to 180 kg;
- Tuna with yellow scales - this type of tuna reaches a length of 60 to 150 cm. Per kilo, they can reach between 100 and 130 kg;
- White tuna - this fish can reach up to 140 cm in length and its weight is about 60 kg;
- Skipjack tuna - it reaches a length of about half a meter and weighs between 2 and 4 kg;

100 grams of tuna contains:
- in the case of tuna with blue scales, water is 68.1%, calories are 144, proteins are 23.3 g, fat is 4.9 g, there are no carbohydrates, cholesterol is 38 mg, there are no sugars, there is also no fiber;
- tuna fish with yellow scales - water is 71%, calories are 108, proteins are 23.4 g, fat is 0.9 g, there are no carbohydrates, cholesterol is 45 mg, there are no sugars and fibers;
- white tuna - water is 73%, calories are 128, proteins are 23.6 g, fat is 3 g, there are no carbohydrates, cholesterol is 42 mg, there are no fibers and sugars;
- skipjack tuna - water is 70.6%, calories are 103, proteins are 22 g, fat is 1 gram, there are no carbohydrates, cholesterol is 47 mg, there are no sugars and fibers. This fish also contains vitamins B3, B6, vitamin B12, it also contains phosphorus, magnesium and iron.
