"Behind the exotic name are very tasty Japanese clams, which we wholeheartedly recommend"

Ingredients

  • japanese clams - 5.6 oz (160 g) asari
  • onion - 1 onion
  • rice - 2 cups boiled
  • soy sauce - 2 tbsp.
  • miso - 2 tbsp. paste
  • mirin - 1 - 2 tbsp.
  • water - 1 cup
measures

How to make

If you can not find Japanese clams, use clams. Pour cold water over them and strain them.

Put 1 cup of water, in which you need to dissolve the soy sauce, miso paste and mirin.

Once the liquid boils, add the onion, cut into thin strips and cook, until it softens. I also add 1-2 tbsp. of olive oil, although not present in the original recipe.

When the onions are soft, add the clams and cook, until they open up, then remove them from the heat.

In individual bowls, put the rice - 1 cup, boiled and salted per portion. Pour some of the liquid over the clams and onions.

Serve the dish warm.

Enjoy your meal!
