How to make
The chicken breast is cut into long, even strips to ensure uniform cooking. Each piece is lightly seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder to build flavor from the inside.
The potato chips are crushed into small crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a bag and crushing them with a rolling pin. The texture should be coarse enough to create a crunchy coating.
Three bowls are prepared: one with flour, one with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and one with the crushed potato chips.
Each chicken strip is first coated in flour, ensuring it is fully covered. It is then dipped into the egg mixture, allowing excess liquid to drip off. Finally, it is coated generously with the crushed chips, pressing lightly so the coating sticks well.
A pan with oil is heated over medium heat. The chicken strips are carefully placed in the hot oil and fried until golden brown and crispy on all sides, usually about 4-5 minutes per side depending on thickness.
Once cooked, the strips are transferred to paper towels to remove excess oil. They should be crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
Alternatively, the chicken can be baked in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
Serve hot with dipping sauces like garlic sauce, ranch, or spicy mayo. Perfect with fries or salad. Store in the fridge up to 2 days. Reheat in oven for best crispiness.
