How to make

The preparation of white Alfredo pizza begins with the dough.

Pour the lukewarm water into a large mixing bowl. Add the dry yeast and sugar and stir gently. Let the mixture rest for about 5-10 minutes until the yeast activates and becomes slightly foamy.

Add the olive oil and salt. Gradually sift the flour into the mixture while stirring until a soft dough begins to form.

Transfer the dough onto a work surface and knead it for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Shape the dough into a ball, lightly coat it with olive oil, and place it back in the bowl. Cover the bowl with a towel and allow the dough to rise for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

While the dough is rising, prepare the Alfredo sauce.

In a small pan melt the butter over medium heat. Add the finely minced garlic and cook briefly until fragrant but not browned.

Pour in the heavy cream and let the sauce simmer gently for several minutes. Stir occasionally so the cream does not burn.

Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Continue stirring until the sauce becomes smooth, creamy, and slightly thickened.

Next prepare the chicken topping. Cut the chicken breast into small bite-sized pieces.

Heat a little olive oil in a frying pan and cook the chicken until it becomes lightly golden on the outside and fully cooked inside. Remove it from the heat and set aside.

Once the dough has risen, shape it into a round pizza base. Place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Spread the Alfredo sauce evenly over the pizza base.

Distribute the cooked chicken pieces on top, then add the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan.

Sprinkle the pizza with oregano and a little black pepper.

Bake the white Alfredo pizza in a preheated oven until the crust becomes golden and the cheese melts and bubbles.

The white Alfredo pizza is best served hot immediately after baking. It pairs beautifully with a fresh salad or a glass of dry white wine.

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
