How to make
If you already have leftover chocolate cake or brownies, this recipe is perfect for using them up. If not, prepare a simple brownie and use part of it for this dessert.
Place the raspberries in a small saucepan with the brown sugar (or honey) and lemon juice. Cook for about 5 minutes, until the berries release their juices and the mixture thickens slightly. Let cool completely.
In a bowl, combine the strained yogurt, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Assemble the trifle in glasses by layering in this order: raspberry mixture, yogurt cream, whole berries, pieces of chocolate cake or brownie, and another spoonful of raspberry mixture.
Chill the desserts for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Serve the chocolate and berry trifle topped with extra berries and fresh mint leaves.
