Ingredients

  • watermelon - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • lime juice - juice of 1/2 lime or lemon
  • honey - 1 - 2 tsp or maple syrup
  • fresh mint - leaves, for decoration
  • coconut water - 1/2 tsp

How to make

Cut a slice of watermelon, remove the seeds and cut into cubes. Put the cubes in the freezer for 2-3 hours to freeze.

Put the remaining sliced watermelon, frozen watermelon ice cubes, lime juice and honey in a blender. Blend until you get a thick, icy drink. For a more exotic taste, you can add half a cup of coconut water.

Pour the watermelon slushie into chilled glasses. Garnish with a lime slice, mint leaves and a straw.
